A monthly political education series that takes a deep dive into various aspects of local, state and national government that impact the lives of black members. From the post-Civil War Black Codes to the oppressive Jim Crow laws and beyond, this session will uncover how legislation was used as a tool to control, marginalize, and disenfranchise Black Americans long after the abolition of slavery.
